Angelo Merendino, President & Director

 

Angelo Merendino is a photographer whose photo-documentary, The Battle We Didn’t Choose – My Wife’s Fight With Breast Cancer, has received worldwide recognition. Intimate, honest, and moving, Angelo’s photographs offer viewers a look inside the day-to-day life of a young couple facing breast cancer together. More than a story about loss, this is a story about love and life. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Angelo does freelance work for both Corbis News and Getty Images. Angelo’s photographs have been exhibited in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Rome, Italy. Online features have appeared on The New Yorker Photo Booth, The Huffington Post and The Guardian. Printed press includes The New York Times, The USA Today and Polka.

Dr. Tiffany Traina, MD, Director

Dr. Traina is Assistant Attending Physician on the Breast Cancer Medicine Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.  She has received grant support for her work from the Breast Cancer Alliance and the Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium, where she also serves on the Triple Negative Breast Cancer working group. She received the Hally Yaccino Steiner Award from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in recognition of her work.

Roberta Weiss is Senior Vice-President of Innovation and Product Development at Kiehl’s, L’Oreal  She is a seasoned business professional in the cosmetics industry, having been a Senior Vice President at L’Oreal for the past nine years, and Senior Vice-President of Innovation and Product Development at Kiehl’s for the last six. She has been instrumental in the tremendous expansion and significant growth of Kiehl’s worldwide since its acquisition by L’Oreal in 2001. Roberta graduated from SUNY Albany and received her MBA from Columbia University.

MIchelle McNamee, Secretary

Michelle McNamee is an Executive Assistant at L'Oreal USA. Currently, she is the Executive Assistant to the Worldwide General Manager of Matrix. During her 12 years at L'Oreal, she has been the Executive Assistant to the General Managers of Matrix, L'Oreal Salon Products Division (L'Oreal Professionnel, Kerastase, Shu Uemura Art of Hair, MIzani & Essie Salon) and SalonCentric in the Professional Products Division. She also provided support to the President of Kiehl's SInce 1851 in the Luxe Product Division.  Michelle studied Broadcast Journalism at Brooklyn College-CUNY and also attended the Université de Paris III & X in Paris, France.  Michelle was born & raised in Brooklyn and now resides in Manhattan.

Bob Kamp, Treasurer

Bob Kamp is the founder of I Can Do That Theatrical Productions, Inc. in New York City. Bob is also the treasurer of his co-op association, West Tenth Street H.D.F.C., where he maintains the accounting books and consults with banks and attorneys. Bob received a BFA in Dance with a minor in Computer Science and Mathematics from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. In 1992 he moved to New York City to continue his dancing career, and began working in the graphic design/pre-press industry. While still performing, he worked for Gorilla Graphics, where he developed an extensive knowledge of pre-press, print production, graphic design software, and computer operating systems, and a freelance client base that included several arts and entertainment magazines as well as graphic design studios, printers and small publishing companies. Bob has also studied design at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
